Day 1: Casablanca – Arrival & Moroccan Welcome
Day 2: Casablanca & Rabat – Coastal Marvels and Imperial Heritage
After breakfast, begin a half-day guided tour of Casablanca, Morocco’s vibrant economic capital. Visit the Hassan II Mosque (interior visit optional), admire the charming streets of the Habous Quarter, and drive past United Nations Square, experiencing the city’s blend of tradition and modernity.
Depart for Rabat, the administrative and political capital of Morocco. Explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas, offering picturesque views of the Atlantic coast.
Continue your journey to Fez. Arrival in the evening, followed by check-in at your hotel.

Day 3: Fez – Exploring the Timeless Medina
Today, enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart. Begin at Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate), the iconic entrance to the historic medina.
Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, a stunning 14th-century masterpiece of Marinid architecture. Stroll along Talaa Saghira Street, explore Nejjarine Square, and visit the Museum of Wooden Arts & Crafts, showcasing traditional Moroccan craftsmanship.
Discover the bustling Henna Souk and Attarine Souk, famous for spices and perfumes. View the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, recognized as the world’s oldest university, then continue to Seffarine Square, known for its copper artisans. Conclude the tour at the famous Chouara Tannery, observing traditional leather-making techniques.
Return to your hotel.
Overnight in Fez.
Day 4: Ifrane & Azrou – From Mountain Villages to the Edge of the Sahara
Early morning departure toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, famously known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” and admire its alpine-style architecture and peaceful streets.
Continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may encounter Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Travel onward through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley, with its impressive panoramic views of volcanic rock formations and palm oases.
Arrive in Erfoud, a gateway to the Sahara. Enjoy dinner at your hotel and overnight stay.

Day 5: Merzouga – Sahara Adventures & Sunset Dunes
After breakfast, depart for the Merzouga Desert, the gateway to the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival, embark on a 4×4 desert safari, exploring the surrounding landscapes and visiting Khamlia village, where you will meet the Rahala Berbers and learn about their rich traditions and lifestyle.
An optional Madfouna lunch (not included) is available, offering a taste of local flavors.
Transfer to your desert camp and take some time to relax before your camel ride across the golden dunes at sunset, a quintessential Sahara experience.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner accompanied by Gnaoua music and spend the night in Berber nomad tents under the starry Sahara sky, creating an unforgettable desert experience.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Gorges, Roses & Kasbahs
After breakfast, depart for Ouarzazate, traveling through some of Morocco’s most stunning landscapes. Stop at the Dades Gorges, renowned for their dramatic rock formations and panoramic viewpoints — a photographer’s paradise.
Continue through Kelaa M’Gouna, the scenic Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant blooms and traditional rose products.
Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Enjoy an optional visit to Atlas Studios, one of the largest film studios in the world, and explore the historic Kasbah Taourirt, a former palace showcasing remarkable Moroccan architecture.

Day 7: Ait Ben Haddou & the High Atlas – From Kasbahs to Marrakech
After breakfast, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village renowned for its striking architecture and frequent use as a backdrop in Hollywood films.
Continue your journey toward Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), offering spectacular panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and glimpses of traditional Berber villages along the route.
Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and check in at your hotel.

Day 8: Marrakech – Palaces, Gardens & the Heart of the Medina
After breakfast, enjoy a morning guided tour of Marrakech with a local guide.
Visit the Bahia Palace, known for its exquisite architecture and beautiful courtyards, followed by the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a historic Islamic school adorned with intricate decoration. Stroll through the Majorelle Gardens, a peaceful botanical oasis famously restored by Yves Saint Laurent. Pass by the Koutoubia Mosque for an exterior view of this iconic landmark.
Conclude the tour at the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square, the pulsating heart of the medina, where storytellers, musicians, and street performers bring the city to life.
The afternoon is at leisure for shopping, exploring the medina, or enjoying a traditional Moroccan café.

Day 9: Farewell from Morocco – Transfer to Casablanca Airport
After breakfast, enjoy a private transfer to Casablanca Mohammed V Airport for your departure flight. Assistance will be provided with departure formalities, marking the end of your 9-day Southern Morocco Expedition.
